The Rotary Club of Duarte will host a special presentation on the morning of Wednesday, April 24, regarding the new light bulb restrictions and requirements mandated by State & Federal legislation.
Club member Basil Kruger, owner of Duarte's Frontier Hardware, will review the impacts that the legislation is starting to have on consumers and businesses, and explain technical jargon such as differences between watts and lumens and the definition of Kelvin. Plus, he'll address concerns regarding the danger of mercury in compact fluorescent lights. Kruger will have examples of the new light bulbs on display.
