San Gabriel Valley Choral Company Seeks New Singers

The San Gabriel Valley Choral Company, under the direction of Alexander Ruggieri, is currently seeking singers for our 2012 spring concert season.  Concerts will include “Rejoice,” on March 10th, featuring Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb and Purcell’s Rejoice in the Lord Alway, and “SGVCC Goes to the Movies,” on May 19th, highlighting choral favorites from Hollywood films.   


New singers are welcome to apply January 31 and February 7—rehearsals are open to potential new members.  Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings in Monrovia,

Founded in 1995, the San Gabriel Valley Choral Company is a non-profit choir comprised of singers from throughout the southland who have a variety of musical experience.  The Choral Company sings a broad repertoire, including classical, spirituals, pop, jazz, opera and theater.  If you like to perform Renaissance to the 21st century, from master works to solos and small ensembles...The San Gabriel Valley Choral Company is the choir for you.

Mr. Ruggieri is also the Music Director of the famed Gilbert and Sullivan repertory company Opera a la Carte, as well as Music Director of the 32-year-old University music from the Campus Choir in Westwood.  For five years he was also the Artistic Director of the Los Angeles Bach Festival and for seventeen years he was Artistic Director of the Cambridge Singers in Pasadena.
