Teen Tech Week Wii Tournament

The Monrovia City Council proclaimed March 6 -12, 2011 as Teen Tech Week at Monrovia Public Library.  This year's theme is Mix and Mash @ Your Library®," and offers a chance to engage teens in the use of nonprint materials available at the local library.   Teen Tech Week is a national initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) aimed at teens, their parents, educators and adults. The purpose of the initiative is to ensure that teens are competent and ethical users of technology, especially the types offered through libraries. Teen Tech Week encourages teens to use libraries' non-print resources for education and recreation, and to recognize that librarians are qualified, trusted professionals who can help them navigate new developments in technology.  Monrovia Public Library invites teens to participate in a Wii Event on Friday, March 11th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.  Mixing physical activity and technology, teens will show off their dancing skills playing Just Dance and Michael Jackson The Experience.
