Fancy 'A Taste of Old Town' This Weekend?

The festival of food and drink will be held on Myrtle Avenue on Sunday.

For three hours Sunday, patrons at the "Taste of Old Town" can grab a napkin and a wine glass and indulge in all the food and spirits Monrovia's downtown district has to offer.

The festival of food and drink kicks off at 5 p.m. and continues until 8 p.m. Tickets are $60, and people must be over the age of 21 to attend.

"The price of admission includes tastings from every restaurant," wrote Kiwanis Vice President Julie Gentile in an email. "Beverages will include dozens of wines, beer and spirits, as well as many non-alcoholic choices."

More than two dozen local establishments will be offering tastings. They are:

  • ABC Arcadia Blues Club
  • Café Lumar
  • Dave and Buster’s
  • Paco’s Mexican Restaurant
  • Ranchero Mexican Restaurant
  • Rudy’s Mexican Food
  • Nikki C’s
  • Oto-Oto Izakaya Japonaise
  • Youngs Market, pouring several wines
  • Los Angeles Int’l Wine & Spirits Competition
  • Classic Wines
