Fireworks In Monrovia July 4th 2020 Canceled: See Nearby Events

MONROVIA, CA — Independence Day events across Los Angeles County do not look the same this year, thanks to the coronavirus.

Due to an L.A. County ban on organized fireworks, cities and organizations canceled their traditional Fourth of July extravaganzas, which included annual events in Monrovia. Bur the city does have a virtual event planned.

Fireworks displays are in Riverside, Orange and San Diego counties — but those are only a handful and come with viewing restrictions. Cancellations also were announced this week in Big Bear and Lake Arrowhead, although Lake Arrowhead plans to proceed with a flyover.

But the patriotic spirit persists, nonetheless, throughout the area and Greater L.A., as several communities are hosting live aerial flyovers, virtual fireworks and parades, decorating contests and fun, Independence Day activities to do from home. For one, Grand Park + Music Center has a virtual block party in the works.
