Man Faces String of Armed Robbery Charges, Including One Near Monrovia

PASADENA, CA -- A 21-year-old Pasadena man is facing six counts of felony armed robbery after being tied to holdups at several Pasadena fast food restaurants and a shoe store in Temple City.

Terry Wayne Wilson was arrested Sunday for a crime spree that went on from Jan. 27 to Sunday, when he was stopped by police officers, said Pasadena Lt. Vasken Gourdikian.

Police said Wilson robbed three Subway sandwich stores and a Domino's Pizza. In the early evening on Saturday, Wilson robbed a shoe store in Temple City and, in this case, a vehicle and suspect description was obtained.

"The information was in turn given to patrol officers who happened to recognize the description of the vehicle," Gourdikian said. "Within hours of the last armed robbery, Pasadena patrol officers scoured the city and stopped a vehicle matching the description of the armed robber from Temple City."

Witnesses and victims positively identified Wilson and his vehicle as having been involved in all five armed robberies, Gourdikian said.

Pasadena police robbery detectives presented the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office who filed felony robbery charges against Wilson, he added.

"I am profoundly proud of the men and women of the Pasadena Police Department who proactively provide police services to the great community of Pasadena," said Pasadena police Chief Phillip L. Sanchez. "This caliber of police work is not uncommon at the Pasadena Police Department and I am pleased that this violent felon has been taken off the streets."

Wilson was being held in lieu of $250,000 bail, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff's online inmate records.
