Man Shot To Death Near Monrovia
There was no suspect information immediately available and the motive for the shooting was under investigation, police said.
EL MONTE, CA -- A man who was shot to death in El Monte was identified Wednesday as a 46-year-old local resident.
The shooting was reported at 10:41 p.m. Tuesday in the 11400 block of Montecito Drive, said Deputy Caroline Rodriguez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which is assisting El Monte police in the investigation.
John Garcia died at the scene, the coroner's office reported.

A motive for the crime has not been established. Anyone with information on the case was urged to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500.
