The Gooden School

The Gooden School is an independent Episcopal school serving students in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade in Sierra Madre, California. Founded in 1975, Gooden has spent more than five decades nurturing curious minds, strong character, and a lifelong love of learning within a close-knit and supportive community. At Gooden, academic excellence is paired with a deep commitment to personal growth. MONROVIA, CA — The California Highway Patrol canceled a Silver Alert Friday morning after a 73-year-old Monrovia woman who failed to return home from a Thanksgiving visit with relatives was located. Verna Elizabeth Roth was previously last seen about 4:45 p.m. Thursday in Hemet and did not return home as planned, Monrovia police Sgt. W. Burkhalter told City News Service. A Silver Alert is activated by the CHP when an elderly, developmentally, or cognitively-impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at-risk to provide immediate information to the public to aid in the swift recovery of at-risk persons meeting the criteria.<hr />City News Service
