Monrovia-Area Man Missing for 2 Weeks

DUARTE, CA — The sheriff's department asked for the public's help Thursday to find a missing 58-year-old Duarte man who suffers from depression and cardiovascular disease and was last seen leaving his Vineyard Avenue residence two weeks ago.

Rudolpho "Rudy" Mejia was last seen at about 3:30 p.m. Sept. 1 driving his white 2015 Dodge Ram, said Deputy Juanita Navarro-Suarez of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.

The vehicle was located abandoned Tuesday in Azusa Canyon, Navarro- Suarez said.

Mejia is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 230 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes. He is missing his bottom front teeth, has a four-inch vertical scar on his left knee and was wearing a gray shirt and blue jeans.
