Hello Monrovians,

In LA County, the amount of confirmed cases continues to rise. Currently, the five-day average is 4,097 new cases. To reduce the potential for crowding and to reduce the potential for exposures in settings where people are not always wearing their face coverings, the Department of Public Health will now only allow for restaurants, breweries, wineries and bars to offer take-out, drive thru and delivery services. This modified order will begin on Wednesday, November 25, at 10 p.m., and these protocols will be in place for at least the next three weeks.
The City of Monrovia did request the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to vote against prohibiting closure of outdoor dining and submitted a letter of opposition. The Monrovia City Council will be discussing this new order at the next regularly scheduled meeting on December 1.
