Monrovia Duarte Black Alumni Association and the City of Duarte's Teen Center Host a "Poetry Slam"

High School teens from Monrovia and Duarte will compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in a poetry competition.  All entries must relate to the Black History Month theme, "The Civil Rights Movement in America".

Students can sign up on the day of the Poetry Slam at the Duarte Teen Center between 1:00-1:30pm.  Call the Duarte Teen Center (626) 303-0863 for more information.
