Monrovia Gas Station Giving Away Free Gas Friday Morning
Motorists must be one of the first 102 customers to claim the free gas.

The at 705 W. Huntington Drive will be giving away free gasoline to the first 102 customers who arrive at the station after 7 a.m. on Friday, Apr. 22, as a promotion with a Los Angeles radio station.
The free gas event is being sponsored by 102.7 KIIS-FM and everyone in the community is invited to try and claim a voucher for $40 of free gasoline, according to Shell owner Ramsay Rabadi.
"We know times are a little bit tough and we just want to help out," Rabadi said.

The cost will be shared by Rabadi and KIIS-FM, he said. The station held a similar event about three years ago, Rabadi said.
Representatives from the radio station will be on hand to hand out free items and promote concerts as well. Rabadi said he expects a healthy turnout.

"I'm anticipating a good number of cars lined up on Monterey for it," he said.
