Notice of Vacancy

City of Monrovia encourages those who have a business in Old Town to apply for a position on the Monrovia Old Town Advisory Board (MOTAB) to fill an unexpired term of a Boardmember. The five member Board is comprised of Old Town merchants and is responsible for making recommendations to the City Council on programs and projects to advance the downtown area through marketing, promotion and overall improvement of the Business Improvement District. All positions are volunteer and receive no compensation. An elected official of the City may not serve on an advisory body concurrent with their elected term, and a Boardmember may serve on only one advisory body at a time. Boardmembers may not be a City of Monrovia employee, must have a bona fide business in the Old Town district that is subject to the Business Improvement District (BID) assessment, and must be current on their BID assessment.
