Monrovia Student Accepted Into Tufts University

The student was among those accepted from a record-breaking 21,501 applications. Congratulations!

MONROVIA, CA – A Monrovia student is among the 1,500 undergrad students from around the world who were admitted to Tufts University 2022 class.

Jonathan Yu, from Monrovia, is among Tufts' Class of 2022. Only 14.6 percent of students were accepted out of the record-breaking 21,501 total applications. It's the second-lowest acceptance rate in university history, the press release said.

"The university's Class of 2022 is the most diverse class ever, the beneficiary of the largest commitment of financial aid in university history, and a trailblazer in gender parity among engineering students - all while maintaining Tufts' status as one of the most selective universities in the country," the university said.
