Monrovia Troop 66 & Pack 66 LAPD Air Support Division Tour
15 Scouts from Monrovia Troop 66 and Monrovia Pack 66 were given a unique opportunity to tour the Los Angeles Police Department Air Support
Early morning on November 21st, 2021, 15 Scouts from Monrovia Troop 66 and Monrovia Pack 66 were given a unique opportunity to tour the Los Angeles Police Department Air Support Division. This tour has been a year and half in the making. COVID took a toll on the Troop plans, but LAPD Lieutenant Tarek Ismail - Tactical Flight Officer Air Support Division made it happen for our Scouts. Our Scouts were given an informational tour by Officer, Jamie Delieuze – Navigator & Tactical Flight Officer Air Support Division. Officer Delieuze shared how the operations of the division worked and let us be a part of a cool opportunity. Our Scouts experienced a “Buzzed by the Tower” with a high-speed flyby. Most of the parents enjoyed a Top Gun flashback. Followed by a landing demonstration where the Scouts were stationed at the roof, above the helicopter landing, while the helicopter was powered down. Troop 66 and Pack 66 want to Thank Officers Lieutenant Tarek Ismail, Officer Jamie Delieuze, and Officer Rudy Villarreal. Thank you for giving both our Scouts and Scout Parents a day to remember always.
