Monrovia Troop 66 & Pack 66 LAPD Air Support Division Tour

Early morning on November 21st, 2021, 15 Scouts from Monrovia Troop 66 and Monrovia Pack 66 were given a unique opportunity to tour the Los Angeles Police Department Air Support Division. This tour has been a year and half in the making. COVID took a toll on the Troop plans, but LAPD Lieutenant Tarek Ismail - Tactical Flight Officer Air Support Division made it happen for our Scouts. Our Scouts were given an informational tour by Officer, Jamie Delieuze – Navigator & Tactical Flight Officer Air Support Division. Officer Delieuze shared how the operations of the division worked and let us be a part of a cool opportunity. Our Scouts experienced a “Buzzed by the Tower” with a high-speed flyby. Most of the parents enjoyed a Top Gun flashback. Followed by a landing demonstration where the Scouts were stationed at the roof, above the helicopter landing, while the helicopter was powered down.
