Photo Gallery: With Gas Prices Skyrocketing, Where's the Cheapest Fuel in Town?

Here's a photo survey of eight Monrovia gas stations and their prices on Tuesday, Mar. 8, 2011.

Gas has reached the dreaded $4 mark around town, but gas prices are different depending where you are in town. The average price of gas on Tuesday, Mar. 8, 2011, was about $3.98 per gallon.

The Cheapest: Arco at Huntington and Mountain

The is selling regular unleaded for $3.87, but there's a catch. If you use your debit card, they tack on a 45 cent fee. If you have a 10-gallon tank and are paying by debit, you're actually spending about $3.92 per gallon, only slightly cheaper than the Chevron on Madison and Foothill ($3.93 per gallon).

The Most Expensive: Chevron at Evergreen and Myrtle

This Chevron, located in a prime spot right off the Myrtle exit to the 210 freeway, is one of two stations charging more than $4 per gallon in town. A gallon of unleaded here will set you back $4.05.
