As the owners of a lost dog learned Wednesday, announcements are a useful way to get a message out. Monrovia Patch wants to hear your announcements and loves contributions from the community.

The easiness and effectiveness of Patch's announcment section was on full display Wednesday when a reader helped her neighbors reunite with their dog.

Molly Archbald Peters found a little brown dog in her neighborhood and . After it was featured on the front page, little Cocoa's owner saw their pet and were able to reunite.

"Thanks for finding Cocoa," wrote Gautam Godse in the comments. "We are so lucky to have such great neighbors. We really appreciate it. Our little daughters have been so worried.."
