It looks like the Primrose Alley Bear may have come to an unfortunate end. Bear euthanised on Melrose today, looks an awful lot like the bear we’ve seen in the alley down from Monroe Place (last time was day before yesterday and the bear was killed on Melrose today). That’s the trouble with bears and other critters becoming too used to the neighborhood. Fish and Game thinks this bear got hit by a car or truck. His jaw was broken badly and he had to be put down. He was male bear weighing about 400 pounds and his coat was light brown. Think twice before you make it too easy for the bears.
