"The MAP Youth Leadership Academy is similar to the Adult Academy but is designed for middle and high school aged youth. The Academy’s goals are to assist the youth in learning, developing and growing," the City said. "We start by exploring with them how they themselves are leaders (even if they don’t know it yet!); then they are given examples of how others use their skills to make a difference. After learning from others, they learn how we work together as a community and ends with putting all that they learn into action."
