Reports: Hewlett Packard Stock Plummets, Layoffs Predicted
The computer giant, which has corporate offices in Monrovia, is remaking itself and abandoning its mobile division, according to numerous published reports.

The stock price of Hewlett Packard plummeted 23 percent Friday after the company, which has corporate offices on Huntington Drive, announced it was abandoning its mobile hardware and possibly spinning off its PC division, CNN Money reports.
The stock traded Friday at it's lowest level since 2005, according to CNN Money.
An analyst quoted by Forbes.com said that he believes the company is likely to lay off some employees because of the recent moves. How the widescale changes at the company will affect workers in Monrovia remains unclear.
