Rigo’s Mexican Restaurant

Overview: has been in operation since 1985 and is located on the corner of Foothill and Mayflower. Their sign also advertises their handmade tortillas.  In addition to homemade corn tortillas, carnitas, menudo, and a wide variety of Mexican dishes, they offer a great selection of Mexican beers.

Décor: Rigo’s has two festive and brightly colored dining areas where both tables and booths are available. The smaller dining room at the front entrance features pottery and art on the walls. An adjacent larger dining area is also decorated with art, sombreros, strings of lights, lit-up beer signs, and a large flat screen T.V.

Drinks: They offer a full bar and a good selection of Mexican beers. Their non- alcoholic beverages include Sodas, Coffee, Milk, Tea, Juice, Lemonade, Jamaica, and Horchata.

Appetizers & A La Carte: Appetizers range from $6.95-$12.95 and include Nachos, Taquitos, Quesadillas, Flautas, Queso Fundido with Chorizo, and the Fiesta Plate, which comes with Nachos, Taquitos and Flautas. A La Carte dishes include Sopes, Tacos, Enchiladas, Gorditas, Tostadas, Chiles Rellenos, Homemade Tamales, and Menudo.  

Entrees: Mexican Dishes ($10.95-$13.95) come with rice, beans, and tortillas, and include Carnitas Con Pico De Gallo Y Guacamole, Steak Picado, Carne Asada A La Tampiquena Con Enchilada De Queso, Chile Colorado, Carne De Res En Salsa Verde, Pollo Picado, Chile Verde, Steak Ranchero, Lengua En Salsa Verde, Picadillo De Carnitas, Chicken or Steak Fajitas, Carnitas or Asada Chimichanga, and Rigo’s Molcajete Specialty (Chicken or Beef seasoned in onions, bell peppers, and green tomatillo salsa.)

Seafood: Seafood dishes ($10.95-$15.95) include Coctel De Cameron or Campechana, Lisa’s Two Special Gorditas, Shrimp or Fish Burrito, Rigo’s Tostada with Shrimp or Fish, Camarones Rancheros, Camarones Picosos, Camarones Al Mojo De Ajo, Camarones A La Diabla, 2 Enchiladas De Camaron, Fajitas De Camaron Or Pescado, Crab Enchiladas, and Camarones Costa Azul.

Burritos, Tacos, & Combination Plates: Special Burritos ($6.95-$9.95) include the Vegetarian Burrito, Vegetarian Chile Relleno Burrito, Chile Relleno Burrito with choice of meat, and Burrito Barrignon (with choice of meat, rice, beans, pico de gallo, lettuce, cheese, sour cream and guacamole.) Burrito choices include Chile Verde, Asada, Al Pastor, Lengua, Pollo, Papas con Huevos, Huevos con Jamon, Chorizo con Huevos, Machaca Con Huevos, All Meat, and Bean & Cheese. Taco ($2.95-$3.95) choices include Chile Verde, Asada, Al Pastor, Lengua, Pollo, Carnitas, Deshebrada, and a Fish Soft Taco.  There are 32 Combination Plates ($6.95-$11.95) which come with rice and beans. Some of the choices among the plates include Tacos, Enchiladas, Tamales, Taquitos, Flautas, Chiles Rellenos, Gorditas, Quesadillas and Chimichangas. 

Soup & Salad: Soups ($7.95-$10.95) are served with tortillas and include Caldo de Albondigas, Pozole, Cosido, Caldo de Pescado, Caldo de Mariscos, and Caldo de Camaron. Salads ($3.95-$11.95) include a Green Salad, Avocado Salad, Salad with Shredded Beef or Chicken, and Ricardo’s Salad de Camarones Al Mojo de Ajo.

Breakfast: Their breakfast dishes ($7.95-$12.95) come with tortillas and a choice of two: rice, beans, or potatoes; and include Top Sirloin with Two Eggs, Machaca Con Huevos, Chorizo Con Papas & Huevos, Huevos Rancheros, Spanish Omelet, Huevos A La Mexicana with Carnitas, Calle Olvera Huevos, Ranchero Omelet, Chilaquiles Con Huevos, Chilaquiles Con Huevos and either Beef, Chicken, Carnitas, or Top Sirloin Steak, Ham & Cheese Omelet, Scramble Eggs, Eggs and Ham, Torta (Mexican sandwich with Eggs and Chorizo or Ham) and Breakfast Burritos.  

Desserts: Flan, Bunelo, Deep Fried Ice Cream
