SGVCC Celebrates its 20th Anniversary with a Choral Concert and Silent Auction

Celebrating their 20th Anniversary, the San Gabriel Valley Choral Company presents “Lights, Camera, Action!” their gala concert and silent auction event
PASADENA, CA. (May 20, 2015) On Saturday, June 20, at 6:00pm join the San Gabriel Valley Choral Company (SGVCC) as it concludes its twentieth season with a silent auction and gala concert called “Lights, Camera, Action!” This evening of glitz and glam will be filled with musical favorites from such film and television shows as Doctor Who, Up, Star Wars, Glee, Lord of the Rings, O Brother Where Art Thou, and more. Set in the historic Throop Hall at Throop Unitarian Universalist Church (300 S. Los Robles Ave., Pasadena, CA 91101), concert goers will enjoy refreshments and bid on fabulous silent-auction items which typically include theater tickets, hotel stays, cruises, gift baskets, sporting event tickets, concert tickets, museum passes, amusement park tickets, comedy club passes, and more! At 6:00pm, refreshments will be served and bidding for silent auction items will begin. The concert will begin at 7:00pm. Join us for a night to remember!
SGVCC, a mostly volunteer ensemble based in Monrovia, is experiencing tremendous artistic growth as it approaches its 20th anniversary. In 2012, consummate conductor and soloist Dr. Zanaida Robles took over the helm as SGVCC’s artistic director. Having recently earned her Doctorate in Musical Arts in Choral Music at the University of Southern California, her prior credits include serving as director of classical choirs for the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts as well as preparing elite choirs for performances with such greats as Josh Groban and Kristin Chenoweth.

Tickets range from $5-20 and can be purchased online at www.sgvccsingers.org or by sending checks payable to “SGVCC” to 101 E. Foothill Blvd., Monrovia, CA 91016. Donations to SGVCC, a non-profit organization, are also gladly accepted online and by check. SGVCC invites concert reviews and interviews with the artistic director.
