The city advised residents to follow posted directional signs and instructions from construction crews.

MONROVIA, CA — Pedestrians and motorists in Monrovia should expect intermittent sidewalk closures in several areas Monday through Friday as crews conduct sidewalk inspections and install lighting fixtures at bus stops, the city announced Friday.

Precision Concrete Cutting will inspect concrete sidewalks along city streets in Old Town Monrovia and areas north of Hillcrest Boulevard. The work may result in intermittent sidewalk closures throughout the affected areas, the city said.

Meanwhile, CEAG Electric will install light fixtures at Foothill Transit bus stops along Huntington Drive during the same period. Intermittent sidewalk closures also are expected in those locations.
