Southland Gasoline Prices Drop For 13th Day

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County fell today for the 13th consecutive day, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.941.

The average price is 7.4 cents less than one week ago and 23.2 cents lower than one year ago but 9.8 cents more than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price rose 14 consecutive days before the decreases began.

The Orange County average price also decreased for the 13th consecutive day today following a 14-day streak of rising prices, falling a half-cent to $3.908 -- 7.8 cents less than one week ago and 24.2 cents lower than one year ago but 9.2 cents more than one year ago.
