Students Barred From School Without Vaccination Proof

The deadline looms for students in the and the rest of California to submit proof of the Tdap booster vaccine for pertussis or “whooping cough” or a waiver—Monday, Oct. 3, to be exact.

After that date, students in 7^th to 12^th grade who have not submitted proof of the vaccine or the waiver to MUSD will not be permitted to attend school.

Students who opt to sign a waiver instead of getting immunized will be required by law to miss school for up to 21 days in the case of a whooping cough outbreak.
