MONROVIA, CA -- An 18-year-old man who was killed in a shooting in Monrovia that also left a male juvenile in critical condition was identified Sunday by the coroner's office. The shooting occurred at 11:36 p.m. Saturday on the 100 block of West Cypress Avenue, according to Monrovia police. Officers responding to a shots fired call found both victims with gunshot wounds to the torso. Oscar Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene and the juvenile was transported to a hospital. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remained under investigation by Monrovia police and Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputies. Anyone with information was asked to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500. Tipsters can also call Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
