Triple Shooting Leaves Man Dead In Monrovia
The triple shooting was reported just after midnight at a restaurant.

MONROVIA, CA -- A 43-year-old man was killed and two other men were wounded in a shooting early Saturday morning at a Monrovia bar. The triple shooting was reported just after midnight in the 100 block of East Olive Avenue, according to Deputy Lisa Jansen of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which was assisting Monrovia police with the investigation.
The shooting occurred at Gem City Grill, officials told reporters at the scene.
"According to witnesses, the suspects entered the bar shortly before midnight and got into an argument with other patrons inside the bar,' said Deputy Joana Warren of the Sheriff's Information Bureau. "The argument escalated into a fight, at which time one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and started shooting.'

"The suspect and his companions then ran out of the bar and fled west on Olive Avenue,' Warren said.
The 43-year-old man and two other shooting victims -- two 24-year-old men -- were rushed to local hospitals, where the 43-year-old victim died from his injuries. The other two men were expected to survive their wounds, Warren said.

A motive for the argument and shooting was not immediately known.
