Skateboarding Fundamentals

In this action-packed class, beginner and intermediate skateboarders will experience the thrill of riding in the safe and supervised La Cañada Flintridge Skate Park. Skilled and experienced instructor, Tim Shepard, leads students through an introduction to basic skateboarding techniques like proper foot placement, pushing, and steering, learning to ollie, bail, and approaching small ramps and rails safely. But the class emphasis is really on having fun! Students need their own board, helmet, knee and elbow pads, and wrist guards. Parents need to complete LCF Skate Park waiver/release form at the skate park prior to class participation.

Spring I: March 30 – April 20

Spring II: April 27 – May 18

Spring III: May 25 – June 15

Summer I: June 22 – July 13

Summer II: July 20 – August 10

Age: 6 – 17

Fee: $70 for each 4 week session
