This family friendly event will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Arroyo Vista Community Park. Featured activities include two 5K runs and a 1 mile run/walk. There will also be a Health and Fitness Fair from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The 5K competitive run will begin at 9:00 a.m. The flat course will follow a 1 mile loop through the grass fields at Arroyo Vista Park and then continue on compacted dirt along the Arroyo Simi. At 10:00 a.m., the 5K fun run will begin. This 3.1 mile fun run will follow the same course as the competitive run, but will include a variety of fitness challenges. Fitness challenges will include a tire obstacle, hay bale hurdles, a low crawl, and more. The 1 mile fun run/walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. This event will include the 1 mile loop with fitness challenges. All ages and fitness levels are welcomed.
Both 5K runs will be timed, and awards presented at 11:00 a.m. The 1 mile run/walk will not be timed. Early bird registration (by 11/30/13) is $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 mile.
