6th Annual Banana Festival Seeks Volunteers

Volunteers receive a free festival t-shirt.

The 6th Annual Banana Festival in Port Hueneme is seeking volunteers. The event is Saturday, September 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and celebrates the Port of Hueneme and one of the port’s biggest imports—bananas.

The event is free to the public. It includes port tours, a kids’ zone, live bands, food and all types of banana treats.

Volunteers can lend their time to pre-festival activities (poster distribution, mailings) or choose a festival day volunteer duty--overseeing vendor check-in and port tours, manning the information booth or volunteering for a variety of other activities. Volunteers receive a free festival t-shirt.
