Amgen Tour Update: Stage Two
After a delay and change to the course, Stage Two of the Tour gets off to a smooth start.

After a cancellation of the first stage Sunday and a delayed start and reroute Monday due to severe weather conditions, the Amgen Tour of California began Monday afternoon, taking riders on a more than 70-mile route from Nevada City to Sacramento.
The race, which will pass through Moorpark on Sunday, ended Stage Two in front of the State Capitol Building as planned. The top three finishers were Sky Procycling team’s Ben Swift of Great Britain in first, Liquigas-Cannondale’s Peter Sagan of Slovakia in second and team HTC-Highroad’s Matt Goss of Australia in third.
Tuesday’s 121.9-mile Stage Three begins at 10:15 a.m. in Auburn and winds its way to Modesto.
