• Musical Horse Plays the Harp With His Human (laughingsquid.com) — A Moorpark-based horse rescue, Because We Can – Because We Care, is home to Yupia, a rescued horse who now "plays" harp alongside musician Mikayla Theone Khramov and will be featured on her upcoming album. The nonprofit, run by volunteers in Moorpark, also offers free riding lessons to children with disabilities and U.S. veterans, blending animal rehabilitation with community service.

• Carpinteria High Girls Volleyball Takes Third Place at Carpinteria Fall Classic (noozhawk.com) — Moorpark's girls volleyball team captured the Gold championship match at the Carpinteria Fall Classic, defeating Pacifica in the final of the regional tournament. Carpinteria High finished third overall, with two Warriors named to the All-Tournament team, as coaches praised the intense play and valuable experience against non-league opponents in hot, demanding conditions.
