• Moorpark man pleads not guilty to charges for hate crime at mosque (vcstar.com) — A Moorpark resident has pleaded not guilty after being charged with a hate-crime-related civil rights violation and disturbing the peace, following an incident outside Masjid Omar Muhammad Mosque in town. He allegedly shouted slurs, threatened a congregant, was arrested nearby, released on bond, and is due back in court December 8.
   

• Firefighter seriously injured in Simi Valley DUI crash (thecamarilloacorn.com) — Moorpark-area CHP officers handled a chaotic overnight scene on SR-118 near Tapo Canyon Road where a firefighter was seriously injured after a Tesla drove through a crash investigation. The original wrong-way DUI collision, followed by two more suspected DUI drivers breaching the flare pattern, led to three arrests and multi-hour lane closures while investigators gathered evidence.
