Blanket, Toy and School Supplies Drive and Mini-Powwow supports South Dakota Reservations with the support of local residents

For 19 years, Redbird has hosted a blanket, toy and school supplies drive to benefit the most impoverished communities in the United States - the Native American reservations of South Dakota.

Simi Valley Town Center has generously provided the space for this year's drive, which will be held in their Community Room at 1555 Town Center Drive, in the heart of the mall, from 1 PM to 5 PM.

Everyone is welcome.  Redbird seeks new, warm, lightweight, washable blankets as well as toys and school supplies.  The cost of shipping these is $500.00 to $700.00, and shipping donations are also needed; Fed Ex, who has supported the effort in the past, will not be donating shipping this this year.

The northern traditional drum Blue Star will be singing songs form the Porcupine District of the the Pine Ridge reservation and all Native American dancers are welcome and encouraged to come and dance and enjoy the afternoon.  For more information about Redbird please visit our website at www.RedbirdsVision.org and follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/RedbirdsVision
