Start your weekend off right with a stroll through the Moorpark Farmers Market. If you've driven on East Los Angeles Avenue on a late Friday afternoon, I'm sure you have noticed the white canopy tops located at the corner of East Los Angeles Avenue and Miller Parkway.
The Village at Moorpark Shopping Center is Moorpark's hub for those looking to purchase the fresh vegtables, fruits, baked goods and more from local farmers, bakers, and crafters.
There are several local farms there with an array of in season fruits and vegitables for you to choose from. Not only is it farm fresh, it's reasonably priced and most have samples out for you to try before you buy.

My stroll lured me to a table covered with vibrant vegtables and to the delicious aroma of fruits that looked like they had been freshly plucked out the ground that morning and next to that was a table a booth full of beautiful bloomed flowers and exotic plants.
I wondered further to a table that had farm fresh eggs from Healthy Family Farms where the Redstar chickens to allowed to free range.

I continued on to The Yankee Doodle Bakey to admire all the baked goods and, of course, I could not leave without stopping by the California Kettle Corn booth to taste some fresh on-site, hand popped kettle corn.
The Farmers market is open 3-6 P.M. on Friday afternoons just in time to pick up fresh produce for your weekend.
