19 Juveniles Arrested in Moorpark Burglaries

Moorpark police arrested 10 more juveniles in connection with an April 26 burglary along Darlene Lane, bringing the total number of arrests to 19.

According to Moorpark Police Capt. Ron Nelson, the juveniles were arrested after breaking into homes and stealing firearms.

The juveniles, mostly first-time offenders, with ages ranging from 12 to 15, were cited and eventually released to their legal guardians, except for one who was booked at Juvenile Hall.

Nelson noted that this is the largest number of arrests for related crimes and acknowledged that a neighbor's vigilance was instrumental in the arrests.

"Continue to be vigilant," said Nelson. "Report any suspicious activity around your neighborhood."
