The City of Moorpark has hired David Klotzle to the position of city engineer and public works director, according to a statment issued by the city Friday night. Klotzle, who had served the city as an assistant city engineer since 2007, stepped into the role of interim city engineer and public works director in August. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, a Masters Degree in business administration, and is a registered civil engineer. He brings 17 years of engineering experience in both public and private sectors to his new position, according to the statement.
