On November 14, the City of Moorpark’s Community Development Department held a public Open House to review potential Land Use options for the City’s General Plan Update. As the City plans ahead to 2050, the City’s General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) has identified 21 areas as potential opportunities for changing land use designations. Nearly 100 Moorpark residents attended the Open House to share their ideas and opinions about those opportunity areas.

Those unable to attend the Open House in-person will have the same opportunity to share their opinions through an online survey available for the next two weeks through Sunday, November 28. The survey can be completed in English or Spanish and allows residents to provide opinions on all opportunity areas or just skip to specific locations that may be of interest. The City is striving to get as much public input as possible to ensure that the General Plan will faithfully reflect the wishes of Moorpark residents in the City’s future plans.
The survey is accessible at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/MPKlanduseoptions, and more information about the General Plan update is available at www.MoorparkGeneralPlan.com.
