City Of Moorpark: November 14: General Plan Update Community Open House (Land Use)

See the latest announcement from the City of Moorpark.

November 3, 2021

The City of Moorpark invites all Moorpark residents and businesses to an Open House to review and provide input on which land uses they prefer for several opportunity areas in the City.  The options up for review and comment were generated from prior input from the public and conversations with the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC).  The input received at the Open House will be shared with the GPAC at a future meeting to help them propose recommended changes to the City’s Land Use Plan.  The General Plan (which contains a Land Use Plan and other elements) will guide how Moorpark evolves in the future, including where new housing and new businesses should be located.  The Open House will provide attendees with opportunities to speak with their neighbors, ask questions, and learn more about the options from members of the General Plan Update project team, and to identify their preferences for the City’s future land uses among a series of options.

The General Plan Community Open House will be held consecutively with the Moorpark Certified Farmers’ Market at City Hall.  Attendees may attend the Open House whenever convenient for them, and staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide an overview of the options throughout the day.  Special presentations about the land use options and considerations will be made at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. for those interested in a more in-depth discussion.

Free child care/day care services and Spanish language translators will also be available.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter into a raffle to win a $100 gift card to Taquería El Tapatío.  The City is also providing free food for attendees.
