City Seeks Applicants for Housing Commission

The City of Moorpark is seeking applicants for consideration for a position on the County’s Area Housing Authority board of commissioners. The board is responsible for the Authority’s policies, finances and operations.

The Authority itself is charged with providing decent and affordable housing accommodations for very low income families, the elderly, and handicapped and disabled people.

The commission appointment is a four-year term. The commissioner is required to submit a report to the City Council within five days of each scheduled Authority meeting.

Applications are available at City Hall, 799 Moorpark Ave., and on the City’s website and must be submitted to the city clerk at City Hall no later than 5 p.m. June 24.
