The City of Moorpark is seeking someone to fill a vacant seat on the library board.
Successful applicants must be residents of Moorpark, where they must be registered voters and have a special knowledge of libraries, library programs or related subjects.
The library board meets regularly on the second Tuesday of each month and its members are compensated for their attendance. The term for the vacant position ends June 30, 2013.

Applications can be obtained at city hall, 799 Moorpark Ave. and on the city's website. Applications must be submitted to the city clerk no later than 5 p.m. Jan. 20.
