City Seeks Talent Show Participants

Registration for Moorpark's Got Talent begins Feb. 6.

Dust off your tap shoes and dig out the sheet music. The city of Moorpark is gearing up for its third annual Moorpark's Got Talent show March 24, but registration for auditions is early next month.

Auditions for the talent show, which last year included acts varying from singing and dancing to martial arts, will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 24 and 2 to 6 p.m. Feb. 25. From the auditions, 10 finalists will be chosen to perform at the talent competition.

To be considered for participation, individual performers must be amateurs, Moorpark residents and at least 50 percent of any groups' members must be Moorpark residents. Acts must be no longr than 10 minutes including set up and tear down and no dangerous acts, profanity or weapons will be allowed. Performers may enter once as an individual act and once as part of a group.

To register to audition, fill out and return an application form—which are available at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center or on the city of Moorpark's website—along with a $10 application fee.
