The Teen Council assists the city's recreation superintendent and supervisor with planning and implementing programs for teenagers. The group, consisting of between seven and 15 seventh to 12th graders meets once to twice a month and serves for a one-year term.
To apply for consideration, teens must turn an application in to the city clerk at city hall no later than 5 p.m. Friday. Applications are available at the city's middle and high schools and online at the city's Web site under "News Briefs." In order to be considered for a position, teens must be Moorpark residents entering seventh through 12th grade in the fall.
