County Seeks Poll Workers

Clerks and inspectors will be paid for their time.

If you'd like to earn a few bucks and have an open schedule on Election Day, the County of Ventura may have just the volunteer opportunity for you. It's seeking people to serve at the polls for the upcoming elections.

In order to volunteer, you only have to be registered to vote in California, be at least 18 years old and be able to serve from 6 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Those who serve as clerks will receive $90 to $110 ($90 stipend plus $20 for class attendance) and inspectors will receive $145 ($125 stipend plus $20 for mandatory class attendance).
