Deadline for Applications for 2nd Annual Conejo Valley Days Outhouse Races Extend to May 6
The application deadline for the 2nd Annual Conejo Valley Days (CVD) Outhouse Races has been extended to May 6. The races will take place Saturday, May 10 at 4:00 p.m. during CVD (Conejo Creek Park South, Thousand Oaks).
"Two slots are left and we’d like to fill them," says Chris dePalma, outhouse race chairperson. "It’s a fun event for a group of family, friends or an organization.”

The racecourse distance is about 200 feet on grass. Specific rules for building and racing the outhouses are found on the CVD website along with an entry form. The entry fee is $50.

Trophies will be awarded to first, second and third place winners. In addition, there will be a "People’s Choice Award." Conejo Valley Days, now in its 58th year, is the largest community event in the Conejo Valley and features carnival rides and entertainment for all ages. It attracts festivalgoers from around the area and is a fundraiser for more than 20 nonprofit groups.
