Moorpark City Councilmember David Pollock will meet with former Ventura County Supervisor Steve Bennett, Oxnard Harbor Commissioner Jess Herrera and business man David Cruz Thayne to discuss issues affecting the district—which includes Moorpark—at a 7 p.m. meeting at the Cafe on A, 438 S. A Street, Oxnard. There will be no incumbant in the Congressional race, as Rep. Elton Gallegly, a Republican who has represented the area for 25 years, announced last month that he will retire at the end of his current term. The debate is open to the public, but seating is limited so club representatives suggest arriving early.
