Boys & Girls Club of Moorpark's Summer Program

The Boys & Girls Club kicked off its summer program, but there’s still time to sign up! The  program runs from June 6 to August 19 and is filled with fun & enriching activities, creative projects and exciting field trips to places like the CA Science Center, a Dodger game, the Santa Barbara Zoo, the Reagan Library, Hurricane Harbor, Griffith Park Observatory, the La Brea Tar Pits and more! Recreational swimming is also offered twice a week for an additional fee, and special “theme weeks” are also planned, like “Mad Scientists Week” and “Fun with Food Week. There’s even something for those “in-be-tweeners” who feel like they’re too old for a day camp but whose parents don’t want to leave them unsupervised all day long. The Junior Leader Program, for kids ages 13-15, covers everything from developing job skills, creating a resume, filling out a job application and developing a good work ethic. Overall, the Club’s summer program gives kids the opportunity to explore science & technology, join a reading club, express themselves through drama and art, become leaders, play sports, learn life and career skills, build friendships and gain the confidence they need to reach their full potential.

There is a $20 registration fee for current Club members; $35 for new members, plus $75 per week for the Summer Program.  A special rate of $65 per week is available when paid at least five business days prior to the following week.  Scholarships are also available. Registration includes a camp T-shirt and participation in most activities.
