The city's annual arts festival will take place April 28.

Moorpark residents will have the opportunity to experience all things art on April 28, when the city hosts its annual Moorpark Arts Festival.
The festival will include live music and dance performances, art displays and hands-on activities including ceramics and chalk art.
The work of the festival's featured artist, BiJian Fan of Camarillo, will also be on display. Fan creates cutting-edge paper sculpture plus works with other media including metal, polymer and wood.

There will also be plenty of hand-made arts and crafts for sale.
One of the features of the festival will be a screening of Shakespeare High at the High Street Arts Center. The feature length documentary tells the story of a group of Southern California teenagers who are determined to succeed at a regional Shakespeare competition. The film depicts how the arts enriches their lives amidst personal troubles including poverty, violence, gangs, drugs, absent parents and other troubles and hardships.
