FEMA Map Revision Meeting Tonight
City staff and FEMA representatives to discuss revisions.

The City of Moorpark will host a public meeting Thursday to discuss a recent revision to the Federal Emergency Management Agency city flood maps.
The new maps, which can be viewed on the city's Web site, become effective on June 13, after a 90-day appeal period.
The revised flood maps will remove the requirement for flood insurance for more than 700 homes in the general area bound by the Arroyo Simi, Spring Road, the railroad tracks and the western city limits. About 80 homes will remain in the flood zone; however, the city continues to pursue additional revisions to remove those structures from the flood zone, according to a statement issued by the City.
