Former Dodgers, Others Play 'Tee Ball'
Golfers pay tribute to Sparky Anderson at the 30th annual St. Paschal Baylon Golf Classic.
Bill Russell, Steve Yeager, Mike Scioscia . . . what might sound like a Dodger reunion is actually a partial roster of the players swinging clubs at the Moorpark Country Club Thursday.
The men, along with about 120 others, were taking part in the George "Sparky" Anderson Golf Classic hosted by Thousand Oaks' St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church. The church has been hosting the tournament for 30 years, but renamed it in Anderson's honor after the Baseball Hall of Famer died in November. Anderson was a 40-year member of the church.
